Our Process
Any candidate for the Order is expected to be part of the Emotionally Healthy Culture Church Network, a network of churches & ministries who have committed to Emotionally Healthy Discipleship as the primary discipleship and leadership development tool for their churches & ministries. We believe that one of the most important ways to transform a culture of a church or ministry is through integrity of leadership, because it is our conviction that “as goes the leader, so goes the church.”
Hence, the Order exists for pastors and leaders to practice a common Rule of Life together while helping to transform the church & ministry culture in which these pastors and leaders are serving.
Postulancy
Explore joining our Global Community for 9-12 months by committing to our Rule of Life, attending a Quarterly Zoom, participating in our School of Emotionally Healthy Leadership in the Spring and/or Fall, and joining us for our Fall Emotionally Healthy Leadership Conference in New York City.
We are piloting the process to become full members of the Order. The journey will likely include a multi-year commitment as Postulants (12 months), then Novices (24 months), and then Vows that will include a commitment to our community and charism as outlined in our Rule of Life.
Novitiate
After Postulancy, you may be invited (based on the discretion/capacity of the Order’s Leadership) to a 1st Year Novitiate Group in our Global Community for 9-12 months by committing to our Rule of Life, meeting monthly with a Novitiate Small Group, attending a spring In-Person Gathering of the Order, participating in our School of Emotionally Healthy Leadership in the Spring and/or Fall, and joining us for a Fall In-Person Gathering of the Order at our Fall Emotionally Healthy Leadership Conference in New York City.
The 2nd Year Novitiate is currently in development.
